St. Paul’s was established in 1906, the meeting place at that time being the August Andresen home at 404 Alder Street. During ensuing years services were held at Immanuel Lutheran on Alder Street and in the German Lutheran Church on Hazel Street. In 1919 the congregation purchased the present site, and the first service there was held September 17, 1919 in a chapel, which had been built.
